Nine corroborated complaints in eleven weeks about undisclosed hour-meter replacements on consigned lots. The auction house has cooperated; two consignors are suspended pending a records audit.
Between 12 May and 26 July 2026 RegiVerify received nine complaints concerning lots sold through Gantry Row Auctions in which the hour meter had been replaced without disclosure in the lot description. A records sample of forty lots confirmed the pattern on six.
All nine complaints trace to two consignors rather than to the auction house’s own stock. Gantry Row identified both within four working days of being notified, suspended their accounts, and has offered to fund independent meter verification for affected buyers.
Notwithstanding that cooperation, the file fails two checks as it stands: serial and meter integrity, and dispute history. Under the standard, a failed integrity check suspends verification regardless of fault. The second-stage records audit is scheduled to close by 15 October 2026.
